When wounds heal slowly, there can be many different reasons causing it. Diabetes is one the reasons. The early signs of diabetes in correlation with wound healing slowly can be frequent infections. The reason for this effect is due to poor circulation that is caused by high blood sugar.

This early sign of diabetes will be very easy to detect as today’s world is focused on perfecting the imperfections. According to Mayo Clinic, these dark discolorations will come out as patches and scars. If you gain weight but not sure if it is diabetes, look for dark skin patches in your armpits, neck, and groin regions. It can be an obvious sign that you have Type 2 diabetes.

Lunch

Blueberry Protein Power: In a blender, combine 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, 2 cups frozen blueberries, 1 frozen banana, and 1 cup ice in a blender. Blend until smooth. (2 to 4 servings)

Dinner

Quinoa & Clean Greens Salad: First things first, mix 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of reduced-sodium soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of dried oregano. This will be your dressing for the perfect salad of the cleanse diet. Later, combine 4 cups cooked and cooled quinoa with 2 cups of mixed greens, 5 to 7 sliced radishes, and 1/4 thinly sliced red onion. At the end, add the dressing and add avocado slices on top of your salad. (6 servings)

The Cleanse Diet Hemp: In a blender, combine 2 cups of blueberries, 1 cup of coconut almond milk, 2 tablespoons of hemp protein powder, 1 cup of baby spinach, 1 tablespoon of greens, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 tablespoon of spirulina, and 1 teaspoon of hempseed oil. Blend until smooth. (2 servings)

 

Dinner

Leftover Quinoa & Clean Greens Salad. If you don’t want to have the same dinner as yesterday, prepare a healthy Caesar salad.

Brussels Sprout Clean Green Salad: Mix 2 teaspoons of honey, 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt to prepare the dressing of the cleanse diet salad. Combine the dressing with 1 and 1/2 pounds of Brussels sprouts, 1/4 cup of dried cranberries, and 1/4 of cup thinly sliced toasted almonds. If you want, you can add the Pecorino Romano cheese on top of the salad. (4 to 6 servings)

The Green Sunshine: In a blender, combine 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 fuji apple, 1 tablespoon of spirulina, 2 cups of baby spinach, 1 frozen banana, 1 tablespoon of greens, and 1 cup of ice. Blend until smooth. (2 servings)

 

Lunch

Creamy Pumpkin Juice: In a blender, combine 1 and 1/2 cups of unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 Bartlett pear, 2 tablespoons of pea protein, 1 frozen banana, 3/4 cup of organic pumpkin puree, 1/4 teaspoon of pumpkin spice, and 1/2 cup of ice. Blend until smooth. (2 servings)

 

Dinner

Green Roasted Spaghetti Squash: Pre-heat the oven to 375-Farheneit degrees. Roast 1 spaghetti squash in the oven for 45 minutes. Otherwise, cook it until the squash is fork-tender. Take out the squash strands and if desired, serve the cleanse diet spaghetti with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese.

The Cleanse Diet Banana Mint: In a blend, combine 1 cup of almond milk, 3 tablespoons of mint, 3 cups of baby spinach, 1 frozen banana, 1/4 cup of protein powder, 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed, and 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth. (4 servings)

 

Lunch

Blueberry Protein Power “Shake”: In a blender, combine 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 cup of protein powder, 1 frozen banana, 2 cups of frozen blueberries, and 1 cup of ice. Blend until smooth. (2 to 4 servings)

 

Dinner

Cold Cucumber Soup: In a large food processor, mix 1 large chopped English cucumber, 1 ripe cubed avocado, 2 tablespoons of chopped red onion, 1 tablespoon of dill, 1/2 lime juice, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Mix them until a homogenous mixture. Combine the mix of the cleanse diet soup with 1 and 1/2 cups of cold water and blend until smooth. Let it cool for 30 minutes; otherwise, serve immediately. If you wish, add some fresh dill sprigs for flavor. (4 servings)

The Breakfast Blend: Combine 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, 2 cups baby spinach, 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries, 1 frozen banana, 1/4 cup superfood greens, 1 teaspoon spirulina, and 1 cup ice in a blender. Blend until smooth. (3 servings)

The ‘Chocolaty’ Avocado: In a blender, combine 1 avocado, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 2 tablespoons of dark unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of agave nectar, 1 cup of ice. Blend until smooth. (2 servings)

 

Dinner

Avocado & Quinoa Salad: This salad is my all-time favorite for the cleanse diet. Combine 3 cups of cooked quinoa, 1 sliced Fuji apple, 1/4 thinly sliced red onion, and 2 cups of chopped purple kale leaves in a large bowl. For the dressing, add 1 lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil, and 1 pinch of sea salt. After mixing the dressing and salad, top your meal with 1 cubed avocado and 1/4 cup of crumbled feta or goat cheese. Of course, that is optional. (4 servings)

Blueberry Protein Power “Shake: In a blender, combine 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 cup of protein powder, 1 frozen banana, 2 cups of frozen blueberries, and 1 cup of ice. Blend until smooth. (2 to 4 servings)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup: In cleanse diet, Sunday is fun day! Sometimes, you just have to enjoy different flavors. Sunday is the day. In a blender, combine 1 frozen banana, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 cored Bartlett pear, 2 cups of baby spinach, 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth. (3 servings)

 

Dinner

Cleanse Diet Eggs and Toast: On each of 2 gluten-free breads, spread 1/2 tablespoon of fresh pesto. Add avocado slices, sliced tomato and 1 poached egg. Top it with cracked black pepper and sea salt for an amazing flavor. (2 servings)

Cinnamon-Banana Cake with Chocolate cake for diabetics

When you’re on a diet, you might think that cake or ganache is not for you. On the contrary, there is always a way to turn your favorite sweets into healthy choices. This recipe below is for your healthy dietary program. A series of recipes from what is a diabetes diet

Ingredients

  • Ganache
  • Cake
  • 2cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/4teaspoons baking powder
  • 1teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1/2cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4cup fat-free milk
  • 1/2cup refrigerated or frozen egg product, thawed, or 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2/3cup mashed banana
  • 1/4cup canola oil
  • 1teaspoon vanilla
  • 3ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4cup fat-free half-and-half
  • 1/2teaspoon salt
  • 1/2teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  1. To prepare the cake of your perfect dessert for diabetes,preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 10-inch fluted tube pan with butter. Set the pan aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, granulated sugar and brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In another medium bowl mix milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Then, add the mashed bananas; stir until completely mixed. Finally, add this mixture to flour mixture. If you have an electric mixer, beat it for 2 minutes. Otherwise, stir it until the mixture is fully homogenous. Spread this mixture evenly into a prepared pan.
  4. Bake the mixture for about 45 to 55 minutes. To make your dessert for diabetes perfect, you can try using a wooden toothpick. Insert it near the center of the cake and see if there is any mixture sticking to it. If not, then you baked your cake.
  5. Let your cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Later, remove cake from pan and place it on the wire rack.
  6. When you’re done with the cake of your great dessert for diabetes, start preparing your ganache. To start, mix chocolate and half-and-half milk in a small bowl that is microwave safe. Then, microwave the ganache mixture for 1 minute in medium power. Do not cover it when you microwave the mixture.
  7. Let it chill for 5 minutes. Stir until completely smooth.
  8. Spread the ganache evenly over the cooled cake.

 

Nutrition Facts Per Serving:

Servings Per Recipe: 16
PER SERVING: 197 calories, 177 mg of sodium, 34 grams of carbohydrate (2 grams of fiber, 17 grams of sugars), 5 grams of total fat (1 g sat. fat), 4 grams of protein, 1 mg cholesterol.

Normally, this dessert is of course very high in calories. So, to make it a dessert for diabetes, I have a great tip to decrease the calories and increase the taste!

Tip

Since this is a dessert for diabetes, you should prefer some substitutes to sugar. Instead of granulated sugar, choose ‘Splenda Sugar Blend for Baking’.  Also, instead of brown sugar, choose ‘Splenda Brown Sugar Blend for Baking’. Yet, don’t just mix the whole package; calculate the amount of these products equivalent to 1/2 cup granulated or brown sugar.

 

When you use my tip for a sugar substitution, the nutrition facts will be as below:

Nutrition analysis per serving: same as above except 177 calories, 27 grams of carbohydrate, 10 grams of total sugar, 175 mg of sodium, 5% calcium.

This brownie recipe is really easy to apply and is very delicious! Some of you can’t stop from loving brownies. This recipe is for the brownie lovers, who are busy workers. You will be protecting your health by preferring to bake these brownies at home, but you will prepare it very quickly so your dessert for diabetes will not bother your schedule! a series of recipes from what is a diabetes diet.

Strawberry Fudge Brownies

Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1/3cup of chopped pecans
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1-ouncewhite, dark or semisweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup refrigerated or frozen egg product
  • 1cup of fresh strawberries, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1-ounce package sugar free chocolate fudge brownie mix

Strawberry Fudge Brownies

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Using a nonstick spray, coat an 8x8x2-inch square baking pan.
  3. Mix the brownie mix, applesauce, eggs, and oil in a medium bowl. Add the pecans. Stir with a wooden spoon until all the mixture is evenly combined.
  4. Spread the batter into the prepared pan evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped strawberries on top.
  6. Bake the batter for 35 minutes. To make your dessert for diabetes perfect, you can try using a wooden toothpick. Insert it near the center of the cake and see if there is any mixture sticking to it. If not, then you baked your cake!Then, place it on the wire rack to let it cool.
  7. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan melt the chocolate over low heat. If you use high heat, then the chocolate will burn before it melts. Then, drizzle the sauce over the brownies when the brownies cool down.
