A Day Living with Diabetes
Anna McLean is an 11 12 months previous residing with Type 1 diabetes. Many individuals suppose that should you watch what you eat and get train, you possibly can keep away from diabetes. This is solely not true.
Anna was recognized at 7 years of age. There was no approach round her contracting this power sickness. She now lives with it daily till a remedy is discovered.
Hey ima give Anna a little tip.. Instead of poking your finger right in the center.. Put it off a little to the side, in the middle is a punch of pain nerves, don't do it at the top of your fingers either cuz it's too cloe to the finger nail and bone, Love you Anna I hope you have a wonderful life!! <3
Hi Anna and family. Thank you so much for letting us into a day in your lives. My daughter Stella was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes less than one month after her third birthday this year. We have just past our second month with diabetes. We have learned so much and are still learning a lot every day. Your video is so helpful and inspirational to us. I'm 12 and I was 11when I was diagnosed 6 months ago
My range 100-150 and they are leaning towards 10 years until finding a cure! If you donate it might be sooner! Please it's a horrible disease that millions of Americans suffer from please help us!!!!!
my range is 70-120?
I have had diabetes since I was 2 and a half and I'm 14 :/
hey my name is gabii and I live in Australia i have type one diabetes I got diagnosed in 2010
i was watching this video because i wanted to see how other kids react to diabetes the thing is i don't know anybody with diabetes. it was kinda funny when she was doing her sugars because they are different for me my blood sugar has to be between 4 and 9. it has been really hard for the past couple of years but i am starting to get there. i wish there was a cure.
Wow shes an imspration.
185 is almost a low number for me mine is always high
One thing I did not like too much was that she never once cleaned her finger with an alcohol swab. Without doing that, you risk getting inaccurate readings. That 274 during her lunch check could have been influenced by touching the cut up fruit that was on the table.
i was diagnose whit diabetes type 2 ive been 2 years using nothing just exercise and diet and i go to my doctor and she is happy whith my results my blood sugar levels are always between 75 and 98 im my opinion use cinnamon in foods my mother one nigth had her sugar level in 408 i prepared her a cup of water whit 1 tbp of cinnamon and in half an hour her blood sugar level got to 250 whit no medicine
i just hope that one day the cure for diabetes exist
Your rock!

And alot of other people in my family has it aswell. but i never expected it to come in my 20s. And i like the video! stay strong and keep fighting 🙂

If Anna Or anyone needs advice for diabetes I CAN HELP. Other info which we must know is the Basal (Baseline/'so called' 24 hour Insulin) should be split into 2 for a better coverage. We Should eradicate ALL GRAINS INC. Sweetcorn!, Fruits and Most vegetables. The ONLY FRUITS ALLOWED ARE summer squash, cucumbers inc. pickles, eggplant, bell, chili pepers and avacado. The Key to controlling BS's is to test and KEEP A LOG! to track whats going on daily I ONLY RECOMEND GLUCOGRAPH DATA SHEETS.
Hi, Im bit bored so thought write some info in controlling your bs's. Im type 1 diabetic and know far more than your diabetic doctors. You BS's should be at a constant 83 mg/dl OR 4.6MMOL/L. Converting mg/dl to MMOL/L= (X)mg/DL (Times) 18.0182= (x)MMOL/L. NONDiabetic has a almost perfect range between 3.9-4.2 MMOL/L. To control BS's you need to increase Fats and Proteins and Reduce Carbs. Ratio Should Be Breakfast- 6g carbs 3oz protein, Lunch- 12g carb 4 oz protein, Dinner- 12g carbs 5oz protein
Honestly feel really sorry for her I know how it feels being really young with diabetes especially when you you doctor hasnt told you everything you need to know to control it!
i have diabetes and im 8 i know what shes going through
Please someone explain the American measurements for BG levels, because in England we have to be between 4 and 10 mmol and I really don't understand the dl or A1c measurements.
I'm 13 & have had diabetes since I was 5. I got a pump 3 years ago and do at least 8 BG checks a day, usually more, and my fingers are tough from the constant stabbing. Yes I have bad days, like when my cycle comes, but I have good control on my diabetes so I don't view it as a disease, just a very inconvenient lifestyle
The stuff no one sees…..
