JDRF funds wearable artificial pancreas system for children with type 1 diabetes

JDRF has introduced it’s funding the event of a disposable patch system that would allow children with type 1 diabetes to put on an artificial pancreas system.

This is the second partnership announcement JDRF has made this week in a bid to develop wearable automated insulin supply programs for individuals with type 1 diabetes. On Wednesday, the charity introduced that they’ve teamed up with SFC Fluidics to develop a pioneering insulin supply system.

With this new partnership, JDRF will assist EOFlow Co. Ltd, a South Korean wearable medical system firm, to fund and run medical trials of a brand new insulin pump system.

The system will construct on the success of EOPatch, the corporate’s first product, which is marketed because the world’s lightest and most secure totally purposeful wearable, disposable insulin pump.
